Born and raised in Astoria, Queens, Mickey Z. (a vegan since 1995) is probably the only person in the world to have appeared in a radical book with Howard Zinn and a karate flick with Billy “Tae Bo” Blanks. When he’s not writing books, taking photos, giving talks, or conjuring up haiku, he’s busy doing his part to bring sexy back to revolutionary activism.
