Church Lady Bingo MCCNY puts the “fun” in “fundraising” with its own gay bingo night featuring entertainment by Sybil Bruncheon, cash & prizes. Food available for purchase. Creating a Life that Matters An MCC course that explores ways to rediscover a relationship with the sacred, with yourself, and with your passion. GenderPeople A dynamic and confidential spirituality group of Transgender, Transsexual, Androgynous, Two-Spirit and people with other than man-male or woman-female gender experiences. Meets every Sunday at 12:30pm. For more information, contact Moshay Moses at welcomingteam@mccny.org.
Green Team A group of MCCNYers working to reduce our impact on the environment. Current recycling efforts include collecting refundable bottles & cans and collecting used cell phones, printer cartridges & laser ink cartridges. Hospitality Team This ministry is two-fold: one part of the team is responsible for making our social hours abundant, beautiful and efficient while the other part of the team greets people as they enter the sanctuary, assists during the service as the need arises, and helps restore the sanctuary for the next service. Lenten Series A great way to explore the meanings of the Easter experience with a group of supportive friends. Why is there suffering and pain in the world? What does resurrection mean for us? Sundays at 12:30 from March 13th to April 10th.
Media Ministry The Media Ministry records weekly worship services for broadcast on television and itunes. It and also produces DVD copies of services, which are available for purchase upon request. Music Ministry One of the most popular aspects of Sunday worship services at MCCNY is the talented vocal work of our choir. Each service offers a different style of music providing a space for individual expression. Social Justice Organizing Committee Committee members work closely with the city council and state legislature on issues such as marriage equality, GENDA, and Dignity for All Students Act. For more information, contact Sebastian Maguire at simai77@hotmail.com.
Spiritual Direction Program A process in which a mentor accompanies one person – the directee – for an extended period of time. Through conversation, prayer, and spiritual exercises, the mentor helps the directee clarify spiritual issues so the individual can move toward a deeper experience with the Divine. Sunday Conversation A monthly event where we engage in conversation about various topics of interest that are not often enough discussed in larger group settings. Guest speakers offer short presentations and an open discussion in a safe space follows. Previous conversations have included: Polyamory, Veganism, Burmese Poverty and LGBT seniors.

Welcoming Team Ministry The Welcoming Team is dedicated to making initial visits to MCCNY enjoyable for our visitors. We also work to encourage social interaction among all MCCNYers through gatherings, name tags and workshops. Additionally, we represent MCCNY at community functions.
